Lisa Klingersberger is a designer and folding expert. She loves to experiment how different materials can be folded and how they interact with pressure or heat. It is all about transforming dimensions: a linear one dimension into a two dimensional sheet into a three dimensional shape. Her work combines industrial processes and craftmanship with the use of both synthetic and natural materials. Geometric folding and a digital structure merge with an analogue approach of creating shapes.

She works on own projects, which are based on a wide curiosity about form, material, color and manufacturing processes and she is open for commissions.

In her folding workshops she teaches the basics of origami, how to fold different geometric structures and design your own folded piece. She also teaches the basics of 3 dimensional shape and did practical design projects with design students.

The Austrian designer is based in Salzburg. She studied Industrial Design and Textile-Art-Design at the University of Arts Linz and the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China. After working in London at Forpeople and in Vienna at Johannes Scherr Design and Lucy.D she started her own creative practice. She was a University Assistant for Industrial Design at the University of Arts Linz and holds both independent and commissioned Workshops.
