In a 4 days folding workshop I teach the students of Industrial Design and other departments the basics of origami, different folding techniques and how it could be applied in design. Each student designs his/her own folding structure and folds it with a big piece of paper.

Winter semester 2024

This will be a new folding workshop format. It will be advanced and based around folding materials other than paper. We´ll experiment with ways of prototyping folds.

Summer semester 2025

In a day the students of Industrial Design and me explore the technique of curved folds. The workshop is for advanced folders, who already took part in the 4 days folding workshop. Linz, February 2022

In 2020 I was part of a teaching team, that supported the students of the TU Vienna to design a folded Pavillon. The initial aim was to make prototypes and a really scale pavilion at Karlsplatz in Vienna, but due to the circumstances the outcome was a digital version. In a VR walkthrough you could experience the pavilion and learn about its simulated folded structure, materials and details. Vienna, March - June 2020

The topic of the Re:Post Generator was to design new products made out of old uniforms of the Austrian Post using the process of upcycling. Students of different Universities came together and developed their ideas in a 10 days workshop, which I was leading. The generator was organized by the Poolbar Festival and supported by the Biorama Magazine. Vienna, February 2020

Every Year the Poolbar Festival designs itself new within the Poolbar Generator. In a week new design, graphics, architecture, visual and public art are made. In 2018 the product design generator was lead by me and the students from various Universities developed with me a picknick backpack, a magazine display and the trophy for the Vorarlberg Music Prize „Sound@V“ featured by the ORF.
